Era uma vez, pequenas criaturas electrónicas que deixaram os seus velhos telemóveis e se tornaram habitantes da (ssshhh… conseguem ouvir? Vêem? Oohh, as árvores têm ouvidos e têm olhos…)

Proposta para AZ "Laboratório Europpa"
O mistério, o suspense, a surpresa, a magia, o jogo, a fantasia, e o desconhecido são as motivações desta temática para uma investigação também ela potencialmente surpreendente em torno de um inimaginado legado artístico-tradicional de diversas culturas locais europeias.

Ao apresentar-nos o que as árvores vêem e ouvem, A Floresta Encantada vai como que desvendar-nos essas sensações, ainda assim envolta no seu intrigante mistério e encanto. A concretização da instalação interactiva passa simplesmente pela (re)definição/utilização de componentes de telemóveis a registar o que as árvores na floresta vêem e ouvem (câmaras e microfones), e a mostrar-nos essas imagens e sons (ecrãs e auscultadores) no espaço de exposição.
Tecnologicamente, é também um desafio, não tão simples de implementar numa primeira abordagem, mas com um infindável mundo a explorar num assumido work-in-progress exploratório.

Na residência AZ n'O Espaço do Tempo em Montemor avançámos e apresentámos o B-wind, no sprint de Setembro na aldeia da região da Serra da Estrela, Maçal do Chão, demos início ao Hug@ree, e agora a proposta de explorarmos A Floresta Encantada / The Enchanted Forest, pelo seu potencial no que respeita a mitos e lendas no universo de culturas e tradições europeias.
Pela relação com o projecto de investigação em curso, gostaria de incidir em (sub)temas com alusões à vigilância, ao fogo, e à protecção da floresta.

Sugestão: contemplar uma componente de ligação a algo especificamente europeu – referências a florestas encandatadas, na história, na literatura e na cultura europei.

NOTAS SOLTAS

O mistério, medo, encanto das florestas encantadas das lendas advém do facto de não se conseguir ouvir nem ver perfeitamente, portanto as hipóteses ficam entregues à imaginação.... com o que se vislumbra e o que se ouve sussurrar.

"Vislumbrar" e "sussurar" – ver e ouvir sem clareza nem certezas – são o que os seres misteriosos nas árvores poderão vir a registar e mostrar-nos através dos seus componentes de telemóveis reutilizados, com as esperadas limitações.
